The global dominance of the Australian sprinter has been well documented in recent years and no stallion roster would be complete without a Group 1 winning Australian sprinter among their lineup. In 2010 Westbury Stud acquired the exciting sprinter Swiss Ace to fill just this role and the horse brings an impressive formline to his new role.
The winner of 9 of his first 11 starts, Swiss Ace included an impressive barrier-to-post victory in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate and backed up in the VRC Newmarket Handicap at Flemington just 14 days later, only to go down narrowly to the World's Champion Sprinter of that year in Scenic Blast. The Oakleigh Plate has long been recognized as one of Australia's best tests of speed and with an honour roll which includes Starspangledbanner, Fastnet Rock, Snitzel, Kenvain, Snippets, and company it is not hard to understand why it is regarded as a stallion making race.
By the Doncaster Handicap winner Secret Savings, Swiss Ace descends from one the highest regarded families internationally which has been responsible for the likes of world champion 2YO Arazi, Sussex Stakes winner Noverre, July Cup winner Ajdal, and Middlepark Stakes winner Formidable.
